Dr. Allison Cipriano (she/her) is a second year Assistant Professor of Social Psychology at Ball State University. 

She identifies as a white, first gen bisexual and queer woman.

She received her Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2024, her M.A. in social psychology from Ball State University in 2018, and her B.A. in Psychology from Ithaca College in 2015. 

In addition to running the VOICES Lab, she directs the Social Psychology M.A. program at BSU and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology. Her courses primarily focus on topics related to diversity, gender, sexuality, prejudice and discrimination, research methods, or pedagogy. Outside of the VOICES lab, Dr. Cipriano engages in collaborative research on responses to sexual violence disclosures and reports in higher education, primarily within the context of Title IX.

Dr. Cipriano is passionate about providing supportive yet challenging mentorship to students at undergraduate and graduate levels. This mentorship typically begins through collaborating on a research project with the aim to help students discover which topics, populations, and/or methods they are interested in researching.
